Halal Operating Rules for Public Catering Venues During Ramadan

Under halal rules, during Ramadan it is not permitted to serve food in venues open to the public before iftar time. For this reason, restaurants and cafes, in a word venues providing food service, may operate only between iftar and suhoor hours.

It should be noted that restaurants and cafes may remain open during daytime hours, but they must not serve food to customers before iftar.

In addition, courier services may continue to operate as normal during Ramadan, because these services are provided on individual orders and differ from open food service in a public place.

As Halal Ekosistem, our main goal is to support entrepreneurs who try to operate in line with halal rules. Therefore, we present a list of restaurants across the country that do not operate before iftar during Ramadan and organise their activity only between iftar and suhoor. Halal or Social Responsibility: The Power of Halal Business

As Halal Ekosistem, our main goal is to support entrepreneurs who try to organise their business activity in line with halal principles and to ensure that this approach brings them both moral and economic benefit. In this regard, it is important to emphasise that halal principles are closely linked to social responsibility.

1. Halal Principles and Social Responsibility

Halal business principles embody not only religious and ethical norms but also concepts of social responsibility such as human rights and environmental protection. Around the world, businesses that respect the rights of women, children and animals, uphold these values and do not harm them in their operations gain broad support on the international stage. For example, the UN Global Compact initiative and the OECD recommendations on corporate social responsibility (CSR) underline the global importance of ethical and socially responsible business models.

2. The Economic and Social Benefit of Halal Conduct

Research shows that businesses that respect workers' rights, environmental protection and social justice are trusted more by both customers and investors. Such companies do not merely comply with legal and ethical norms; they also achieve economic resilience and long-term success. By supporting this approach, Halal Ekosistem gives entrepreneurs who operate in line with halal principles a competitive advantage locally and, in future, internationally as well.

3. The Role of Halal Ekosistem

We work to bring to the fore the social responsibility of businesses that observe halal rules and to ensure they are recognised in the market. Through supporting and developing businesses that remain committed to halal values, Halal Ekosistem contributes to the formation of a society in which fairer and more ethical values are strongly represented.
