“Islamic Insurance – Takaful” certified training programme

With the organisational support of the company Alizadeh, and in joint partnership with the Turkish Islamic Insurance Association (KATSIDER) and the Azerbaijan Insurers Association (ASA), SER announces a certified training programme on "Islamic Insurance – Takaful".

About the trainer:

Dr. Yunus Emre GURBUZ

Secretary General of the Turkish Islamic Insurance Association (KATSIDER)

One of the founders of Neova Insurance, Turkey's first Islamic insurance company. Yunus Emre Gurbuz, born in 1979 in the Bayburt region of Turkey, graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University with a degree in economics, and from 2004 worked as an auditor at Turkiye Finans Participation Bank, Bereket Insurance and Yildiz Holding (Ulker). In 2010 he was one of the founders of Neova Insurance, Turkey's first Islamic insurance company. He served for 12 years as head of the internal audit department.

He also served as chairman of the Islamic Insurance Committee of the Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB) in 2018-2020. Gurbuz, who has written numerous books and articles on insurance and especially on Takaful, has also delivered presentations at nearly one hundred national and international conferences, seminars, panels and congresses. He is also a committee member of the insurance section of the Islamic Finance Strategy Documents of the Turkish

Presidential Administration and of the Strategic Development Plans of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

He is currently Deputy General Manager for loss, human resources and communication departments at Pay Katilim Insurance company, as well as a board member and Secretary General of the Islamic Insurance Association.

• About the programme fee: The programme will cover 8 hours in 1 day. The training will be delivered in Turkish by a trainer invited from Turkey. Participants who attend 80% of the lessons will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
